Large Chest Over Chest in Floral Tropic Foliage, in Gold & Black

This ‘chest over chest’ of drawers is so striking and totally unique, it’s such a show stopping piece of furniture to have in any room of your home that it’s sure to become the focal point. These chest over chests are not something you see every day and you definitely won’t find another piece like it now with its gorgeous new design! The drawers are not only really functional but they also balance a stunning new modern design with all the character and charm of an antique piece too. We’ve covered the front of the drawers in a luxurious premium velvet - a technique that’s unique to us and offers something different to the rest of the market. The velvet depicts a beautiful floral design, with a vintage tropical kind of feel, showcasing lots of luscious tropical flowers and foliage. The colour scheme features multiples greens, faded reds, black and whites. The velvet appliqué alone adds more luxury and depth to the piece. Over 10 metres of black antique studs were added by hand to frame the fabric to give it a premium finish - so a lot of time and love went into making this one! We chose black and gold painted elements to highlight the shape and compliment the velvet pattern. The sides are painted jet black to really elevate and not detract from the front design. The legs are the original cabriole legs and we’ve painted them gold to highlight their shape. We’ve also added new modern hardware in black to match. The inside and the top has been left in the original wood as it was in great condition, it has been treated and sealed with professional products to replenish it and make it smell great too! Not only does the overall item look amazing but it also provides the perfect place for all your storage needs with 8 drawers, and extra room on top for your home decor. The fact the drawers are stacked up on top of each other means it has all the storage that 8 drawers provide, but is more space saving on its footprint too, so it doesn’t take up as much floor space. The entire piece has been stripped, sanded smooth, thoroughly cleaned, painted, finished and sealed by hand and using professional products.
* This is a vintage piece of furniture that has been upcycled, it is not brand new. This means it may have some minor marks/ dents/ blemishes on it from age related wear and tear. It is part of the items character and history. I do pride myself on the finish I achieve when restoring an item so any marks should be very minor. Any antique glass or mirrors may have small scratches or a patina due to age again but nothing major. I do not accept refunds due to this nature.
